AC Milan via their website are reporting that centre back Mateo Musacchio will be out for the season after undergoing a successful surgery on his left ankle yesterday. The defender is expected to recover in four months.

Musacchio had lingering ankle problems which prompted the decision to undertake the surgery. The defender lost his place to Simon Kjaer who also picked up an injury in the game against Lecce leaving Milan thin at the bacl. Leo Duarte has also been out.
