Football Italia are reporting that AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie spoke to SportMediaset about his future with the club. The midfielder played a terrific game against Juventus demonstrating his worth in the right conditions. He said:
“I’ve been here for three years and I feel at home with Milan. I’m happy to be here. We must all fight to get Milan back to the top.”
On the remaining games, he said:
“We are in the running for a place in Europe, it’s all very tight in the table. We’ve got to pick up points in every match to take Milan as high as possible, playing every game as if it was a Cup Final.”
Franck Kessie is 25 games away from becoming AC Milan’s top capped African national equaling George Weah. Hopefully he stays over the summer. pic.twitter.com/JbvLXXwGcA— Milan by Numbers (@MilanNumbers) June 18, 2020
The Ivory Coast international played his 122nd game in red and black last week and is one in spitting distance of breaking a club record. Kessie can become Milan's most capped African national equalling George Weah's 147 games with another 25 appearances. The midfielder has been playing at the club since 2017/18 thus will be completing his third season this summer. He is just 23 years old and has only missed 14 out of 136 games since joining.
