AC Milan’s President Paolo Scaroni spoke to Radio Anch’io Sport via MilanNews.it discussing the season resumption and market moves. The major takeaway of the interview is that Ivan Gazidis is in charge and leading the Milan transformation. Scaroni was critical of the decision to restart with the Coppa Italia but admits that compromises were necessary.
On Ralf Rangnick: “For the moment we have confidence in Pioli, I don’t know if the German manager will arrive. Gazidis makes the choices, I don’t even know if he is talking with other candidates. We have confidence in Pioli and Maldini.”
On AC Milan’s financial situation: “We have made a great effort to cut costs. Our CEO has focused on this, in the future we are looking for young players with reasonable prices.
“We do not want to take any more strings from UEFA. Milan are coming out of a long time of crisis, it is utopia to think that rebirth can happen quickly.”
On European Competitions: “I hope to arrive in Europe with the Italian Cup but if it doesn’t happen we will fight in the championship.”
