FootMercato are reporting that AC Milan have opened contacts with former loanee Tiemoue Bakayoko over a summer move. The Chelsea owned midfielder just spent the season on loan at Monaco but was not redeemed by the club after the Ligue 1 ended prematurely due to the coronavirus pandemic. The midfielder has been open about his love for the club and has been entirely pushing for a move back to Italy with Milan.
@tuttosport: Tiémoué Bakayoko has informed his entourage his desire to return to Milan the club will have to sell Franck Kessié and that the French player agrees to lower his salary.

The midfielder could have been redeemed for 35 million euros last summer but Elliot did not want to pull the trigger on such an expensive move. As we reported here, Milan will likely look for another year long loan with an option to buy. Chelsea have struggled to offload the Frenchman who is deemed excess to requirements due to the the high valuation they have of the player which does not correspond with the market. The midfielder joined Chelsea for about 40 million euros in 2017 but has only made 43 appearances for the Blues in three seasons at the club.
