Sempre Milan are Monaco have decided not to exercise their option to buy Tiemoue Bakayoko after his season long loan. The midfielder is also unwanted at his parent club Chelsea as he does not fit in their plans. Bakayoko’s desire is to return to AC Milan where he spent a season on loan under Gennaro Gattuso in 2018/19. The 25 year old put on impressive performances in the latter part of the season but was not redeemed due to the high cost of the operation and the change of manager. The report notes that Milan could consider another loan offer for the midfielder with an option to buy.

The midfielder has a contract with the Blues until 2022 earning 6.5 million per year but not featuring for them. Milan could pursue a permanent transfer at a cut rate as well given the player’s desire to join the club. The report indicates that Milan would look for the France international to take a pay cut to join the club but the chances of a deal materialising seem low for the moment.
