Sky Sports have come forth with an odd report claiming AC Milan are interested in signing Burnley’s Jeff Hendrick on a bosman this summer. The 28 year old Republic of Ireland international has an expiring contract. The club seems to have been tracking the player before the plan for this summer changed to Ralf Rangnick and it remains to be seen if the approach is still made.

The midfielder has 139 appearances for Burnley in the Premier League and his side are trying to tie him down to another contract. Hendrick plays largely as a central midfielder and sometimes on the right and is closer to a defensive midfielder. He is physical and strong hence blocks the opposition well and wins it back but is not a great passer. His tackling has been criticised often and he does not seem to offer anything that Milan do not already have in their current squad.
