SportMediaset via MilanNews.it are reporting that AC Milan are preparing a bid for Serbia international Luka Jovic for the summer. The Rossoneri are looking to submit a bid of 35 million euros plus bonuses to Real Madrid for the striker mirroring the transfer deal for Theo Hernandez from the previous summer transfer window. The striker has struggled to find a spot at the Santiago Bernabeu under Zidane since his transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt managing just 7 starts between the La Liga, UCL and Copa del Rey all season.

The striker has only scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist after his explosive 2018/19 in the Bundesliga where he scored 27 goals and provided 7 assists. The striker was purchased for 60 million euros the year before and the report notes that Madrid could take about 40 million euros for the player. The striker reportedly earns between 7-10 million euros per year net as he received a bumper deal from Madrid last summer. The player is a quality purchase but Milan have two major stumbling blocks to overcome; first of all they need to agree a fair transfer fee and secondly they need the player's wage to drop significantly to respect their wage cap.
