Sky Italia via MilanNews.it are reporting that AC Milan are looking to intensify contract negotiations with goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma this week. The 21 year old has a contract expiring in the summer of 2021 and the club would not want to lose him for free thus are looking to tie him down to a contract now or decide to sell him. The Italy no. 1 has racked up an unbelievable 190 appearances with the club since his breakout season.

The keeper currently holds the largest contract at the club worth 6 million euros per year net. There has been optimism from the Rossoneri camp over a renewal as Donnarumma feels attached to the club and would want to remain. The new update on the matter is that Milan could look to add just one more year to his contract to avoid losing him this year or next year and leave the major renegotiation for later when Milan will have perhaps qualified for the Champions League after 2020/21.
