Il Sole 24 Ore are reporting that American firm Hines Ltd have purchased a huge chunk of area in the Trotto area including the old San Siro training centre which has not been in use since 2013. The company purchased this area from Snaitech with the aim of developing a mixed use project spanning 150,000 square meters for residential and commercial use.

It is expected that the development will service the upcoming Nuovo Stadio Milano by providing ancillary services such as shops, restaurants and a museum supporting the vision of AC Milan and Inter Milan for the area. It reports that investment worth 350 million euros could be poured into the development over the next four years.
