Vito Angele via Sempre Milan is reporting that the decision to allow Giacomo Bonaventura to leave AC Milan at the end of the season is all but certain. The midfielder is expected to wade through numerous offers as the likes of Torino, Fiorentina and Lazio are known to want to pounce on the bosman signing. However, Angele's report indicates that Bonaventura is likely to stay relatively close to Milan by rejoining his former club Atalanta this summer.
There're a lot of club on #Bonaventura, but he would like to return to #Atalanta. There've been the first contacts for a two-years contract. (detail on @SempreMilanCom )

The report notes that both Bonaventura and Gasperini seem open to the move and the midfielder would be a solid addition to a squad that is likely to feature in the Champions League next season. The return to Bergamo seems like the best way forward for the veteran midfielder and it would be nice to see him play in Europe.
