Vito Angele via Sempre Milan is reporting that AC Milan are strongly moving forward for the renewal of the captain Alessio Romagnoli this summer. The contract of the centre back is due to expire in 2022 but the club want to tie him down to a long term contract ASAP. He is currently on a salary on 3.5 million euros per year and will likely receive a bump to 4.5 million euros per year. Both parties seem willing and thus this move will likely materialise.

The report goes on to indicate that one of Simon Kjaer and Matteo Musacchio will likely leave in the summer as the report indicates that Milan are moving forward with their search for a new starting centre back. Angele also notes that there has been silence on the Donnarumma front.
