The youngster was left off the squad that travelled to Turin for the Coppa Italia semi final second leg against Juventus that has since been called off. The goalkeeper was subbed off after about 45 minutes against Fiorentina giving room for Asmir Begovic to get his debut.

The former Chelsea goalkeeper will likely be the starter this weekend against Lecce away from home. Donnarumma will be a crucial part of the team in the coming months as Milan attempt to scrape a Europa League spot and make it to the Coppa Italia final.
