Calcio Mercato are reporting that AC Milan will look for another striker in the summer transfer window as veteran Zlatan Ibrahimovic looks increasingly likely not to be renewed after his 6 month spell. The sights of the club look to have shifted to Napoli and Poland centre forward Arkadiusz Milik who has been the front man for the Azzurri since the 2016-17 season. The striker has been plagued with injuries over that period but has still been an effective target man netting 46 goals in 109 games. He has also been a key attacker for his national side scoring 14 goals in 49 appearances.

The 26 year old would be a good addition to the squad and he has a level head and has significant experience in the league compared to some of the other no. 9 recruits in past years. Milik currently earns about 2.5 million euros per year and could be bumped up to 3 million if Gazidis wage cap is imposed. His contract renewal talks in Naples have stalled and the striker is for all intens and purposes on the market. De Laurentiis will likely be a stickler on the price with the report stating that he will want between 40-50 million euros for the Pole. Another report from MilanLive.it notes that Gennaro Gattuso could tip the scale in Milan's favour as he could look for a swap deal for one of his former players.
