La Repubblica via MilanLive are reporting that the Coppa Italia semi final could take place in July after football in Italy was halted by the coronavirus outbreak. AC Milan were set to face Juventus on the 4th of March in the second leg of the semi final in Turin but the match was called off last minute. Milan and Juventus played out a controversial 1-1 draw at the San Siro where Ante Rebic scored and Cristiano Ronaldo equalised with a last minute penalty.

The report indicates that the final three games of the competition could be played in July and August. Napoli and Inter Milan are the other semi finalists. The competition could be a critical part of Milan's current campaign as they can potentially secure some silverware with strong displays in Turin and in the final. They would also be able to secure a European spot through the Coppa Italia just in case they struggle in the league.
