Reports over the past couple of weeks since the firing of Zvonimir Boban by AC Milan have been increasingly pessimistic on the arrival of Ralf Rangnick to the club this summer. The Red Bull Sports Director was reportedly close to a deal with Ivan Gazidis but the negotiations have severely deteriorated in that time over a number of concerns. Now, German journalist Christian Falk via Sempre Milan has quashed rumours of the move. He claims that the talks were not successful thus the move is off.

As we reported here Stefano Pioli is said to have a 'gentleman's agreement’ with the management that could see him continue at the helm of the club next season if he attains certain goals most likely to be the Coppa Italia title or a Europa League spot. Pioli has the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi final to play against Juventus as the fixture is tied at 1-1 for the moment. In the league, he is 3 points off 6th place and 12 points off 4th place.
