The midfielder has been heavily linked with Arsenal in recent transfer windows and looks likely to exit the club this summer as he enters the final year of his contract. The midfielder represents one of the remnants of the Chinese era at Milan - most of which have seen the door by this point. He represents a huge wage for a low return and will likely not receive a contract renewal. The 26 year old currently earns 2.5 million euros per year. He will likely be sold this summer so Milan can make some money off him otherwise he would likely leave for free at the end of the 2020/21 season. The midfielder has scored 17 goals and provided 24 assists in 116 appearances for the club thus far.
