Italy Clamps Down On Public Events And Travel To Halt Spread Of Coronavirus

AC Milan made a 250,000 euros donation to Azienda Regionale Emergenza Urgenza (AREU) - the emergency response arm of the Lombardy region’s government two days ago to help fight the spread of COVID-19 in Northern Italy. Yesterday, the players and directors joined by donating one day's wages to the cause to help deal with the healthcare emergency.

Captain Romagnoli said, “As a Milan captain I am proud of what the Club has decided to do with the donation to Areu, committed daily to the emergency and what many of our fans are asking to do, to refund the tickets purchased for the matches played behind closed doors or postponed in favor of those who are working night and day to face and contain the Coronavirus. My companions and I are ready to support them too.
