AC Milan’s match against Genoa has officially been moved to May 13th.
Milan’s match, along with four others, were meant to be played this weekend, albeit behind closed doors. However, a few of the teams did not want to lose the crucial revenue that comes from match day ticket sales, so meetings were held on how to best resolve this issue. After a crisis meeting between the country’s footballing authorities and the government, the decision was made to move the matches to May 13th.

In addition to this, the date of the final of the Coppa Italia has also been pushed back to May 20th. The venue for the final might also change, as there is talk of moving the game from Rome to Milan that day. This will be done in order not to interfere with the preparations for Euro 2020.
There will be no changes, however, to Milan’s upcoming Coppa Italia clash. The game against Juventus will still go ahead as scheduled for this Wednesday.
Both the Milan men and the Milan women will be missing in action this weekend. Serie A Femminile has no scheduled matches this week, due to the fact that Italy will be participating in the Algarve Cup. Four of the Milan women were supposed to have joined the rest of their Italy squadmates for the upcoming tournament. However, all four of them have now been removed from the roster.
They’ve been ordered to stay at home now as a precautionary measure against the outbreak of the coronavirus.
The only good thing about this is the fact that both Milan teams will be well-rested for their upcoming fixtures. The Milan men, however, will have a mountain to climb this Wednesday. Juve will go into this game with an away goal advantage, and Milan will be missing most of their starters as well.
The match against Juve will be on Wednesday, March 4th, at 20:45 p.m. CEST (11:45 a.m. PST / 2:45 p.m. EST).
