AC Milan Hire Five To Boost Commercial Avenue Weeks After New Sponsorship Director Is Announced

The club is struggling to rake in commercial revenues thus has been recruiting to fix the area.

La Repubblica via today reported that 5 new figures joined AC Milan in a variety of commercial roles yesterday. The club via Sempre Milan noted 2 new additions of an E-commerce and Retail Director and a Venue Director. The other three additions are unknown and unconfirmed. Milan are attempting to gear up the commercial value give the recent dips and specifically need to work on revenue generated from sponsorship and sales (tickets/merchandise/etc).

The additions to the management follow the appointment of Alex Rasmussen as the club's new Sponsorship Director last month. The former FC Copenhagen Sales Director worked on deals with Unibet, Carlsberg and Adidas to boost sponsorship. He also sold the naming rights of one of the stadium stands to a mobile network company. Rasmussen will only join the Rossoneri on April 1st. His role will be critical given the recent Emirates deal renewal debacle that we reported here.
