A report from Calcio e Finanza states that Daniel Friedkin of the Friedkin Group who are in talks with AS Roma over a possible takeover had initially planned to buy AC Milan from Elliot Management. The fund reportedly turned away an offer of 1 billion euros which Friedkin presented directly to the Singer family.

Following the negative response, Friedkin turned away as he was closing on on a deal with Roma which looks soon to materialise. Elliot reportedly did not see the offer as a fair deal for the club thus turned it down. James Pallotta - the current owner of Roma - looks to end about 8 years of ownership with a 750 million takeover.
