Calcio Mercato are reporting that Arsenal have been scouting AC Milan's attacking midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu for a while now. The Turkey international scored a banger in London in the Europa League a year ago and must have left an impression. The former Bayer Leverkusen man is valued at about 20 million euros and will only have a year left on his contract come the summer. Hakan was scouted during the derby against Inter Milan where Milan lost 4-2.
According to @TurkFootballTV, #Arsenal will have scouts present at the Milan derby tonight to monitor Hakan Calhanoglu. https://t.co/7AphIKZXDR

Milan could look to sell him and buy a replacement with a lower wage as they have done in the January transfer window quite successfully. Milan have been trimming the squad for a while now and Hakan could be next following the likes of Suso and Piatek. The midfielder has been an integral part of Stefano Pioli's plans in 2020 but could be sacrificed for a potential financial gain.
