AC Milan vs Genoa Will Be Played Behind Closed Doors Due To Coronavirus Spread In Italy

The virus has killed 7 in the country thus far and the government has authorised strict measures to limit it's spread.

AC Milan on their official website have opened up refunds for the game against Genoa at the San Siro as the FIGC allow games this weekend to be played behind closed doors. This action is being taken due to the drastic proliferation of coronavirus cases in Italy over the past week. 4 game were postponed in the Serie A on Sunday. As per The Guardian, Italy has faced 7 deaths related to the coronavirus and all games in the Serie A and Europa League will be played behind closed doors this week.

The club stated, “AC Milan is monitoring the situation relating to the measures being undertaken by the Government, the authorities in the Lombardy Region and sporting institutions to tackle the coronavirus outbreak.
