According to Sempre Milan, AC Milan's Primavera will participate in the Viareggio Cup beginning the 16th of March. Milan Primavera will be in Group 8 with Botafogo, LIAC New York and Rappresentativa Serie D. There seems to be some uncertainty on whether AC Milan will field the U-19 or U-18 sides in the tournament. Milan U-18 currently sit in 4th spot having lost the derby to Inter Milan yesterday. The side only have two games until the end of their season on the 1st of March. The side can finish 3rd at best and 7th at worst as they face Atalanta U-18 and Sassuolo U-18.

AC Milan have won the most title in the Viareggio Cup with 9 trophies. The last triumph for the Primavera side came in 2014 under Filippo Inzaghi’s management. Milan U-19 currently sit at the top of the Primavera 2a with a 10 point lead, the team is also on a 13 game winning streak and is unbeaten all season in the league. The side has been knocked out of the Coppa Italia but could attempt to win some silverware at the cup in Tuscany next month. The current side boast a strong core with Daniel Maldini, Marco Brescianini, Luan Capanni and Lorenzo Colombo who will all look to make an impact at the Cup.
