AC Milan lost 4-2 to Inter Milan in the Derby della Madonnina this weekend. The game was at home for Inter and their Curva Nord reportedly hurled racist chants at two Milan players. Thomas Rolfi reported that the fans in the North Curve stand chanted racial slurs at Zlatan Ibrahimovic during the warm up sequences calling him a gypsy due to his heritage. Franck Kessie was also a recipient of racist chants in the second half with ANSA reporting the Inter fans howled at the midfielder when he was booked and stated that the chants came from the Curva Nord once again.

These reports are still unconfirmed and it will remain to be seen if the Serie A look into this and punish the perpetrators. Serie A continues to struggle with dealing at racism in the stadiums as the reports seem to flood in week in and out from cities across Italy; something needs to be done.
