Sempre Milan are reporting that AC Milan are seriously considering the return of Thiago Silva in the summer. The Brazil centre back is out of contract at PSG at the end of the season and will be looking for a new club as the French champions are unlikely to renew his contract given the options of the squad and the means to invest further. Silva could be convinced by the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and would be a key leader to have in the locker room for at least a year or two.

The major stumbling block of any potential deal between the player and the club would be the humongous salary that Silva currently earns at 12 million euros. That wage would be out of Milan's budget for the moment thus the player would need a significant wage cut to join the team. Furthermore, the current top earners on the squad are Donnarumma and Ibrahimovic on about 6 million euros a year each thus it raises the question on whether Silva would be the best use of the resources at hand.
