AC Milan faced Celtic FC in the Europa League in a crunch tie to secure qualification. Milan opened the game in a horrific manner as Rade Krunic made a blunder allowing Rogic to curl the ball past Donnarumma. This was followed by Simon Kjaer fumbling off the pitch with an injury. About a minute later, Milan were ripped open and Edouard chipped the ball over Donnarumma to make it 2-0. Milan were dragged back into the game by a brilliant free kick from Hakan Calhangolu and literally two minutes later Samu Castillejo capitalised on a mess in the box to lob the keeper to draw the game at 2-2. The second half was dominated by youngster Jens Petter Hauge whose two stunning runs generated two goals. His first run at the 50th minute took some sublime foot work to tear apart Celtic's defence before he laid the ball off into the back of the net. Late into the game, the youngster would attempt a similar run but set up Brahim Diaz who chipped the keeper to make it 4-2. Milan win conclusively despite a shaky start and secure qualification to the knockout stages of the campaign.
