AC Milan are reporting via their website that manager Stefano Pioli and his assistant Giacomo Murelli have both recovered from the coronavirus and now tested negative. The manager and his assistant will be able to take over and lead from the sideline tonight in the Europa League against Celtic FC at the San Siro. The duo were represented by Daniele Bonera in their absence and the former Milan defender did an admirable job picking up three points against Napoli and Fiorentina and a point against Lille.

Pioli spoke to the press via MilanNews.it and said:

“I have lived these days at home like a lion in a cage, I would have liked to be here at Milanello in every way.”

“I thank the club for what it has done to allow me to work better even from afar. Obviously doing it from home is not like doing it in the field. Luckily those who replaced me did it in an excellent way. When they said I was negative last night I got excited. Football is my passion, I’m fine and I’m happy to be back.”
