MilanNews.it are reporting that AC Milan's striker and top scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic has aggravated his injury in the group training session yesterday just as he was nearing a return to action. The striker injured his thigh muscle a few weeks ago in a fixture against Napoli and was expected to return in mid December. He has taken part in individual training sessions for weeks but joined the group this week. The report notes that he has a hemorrhagic suffusion in his soleus muscle. He will be further evaluated in 10 days thus has been ruled out for the remainder of 2020 hence will miss the crunch ties against Sassuolo and Lazio as the side struggles to score winners without him.
He is also at risk of missing the title tie with Juventus on the 6th of January which is just 18 days away. Milan do not have a back up striker and the likes of Rebic and Leao have not been able to settle into the role. The strategy for the January market could change now as Milan will not keep their unbeaten streak going if the attack is faltering in the absence of Ibrahimovic.
