The UEFA Europa League draw for the round of 32 took place yesterday in Nyon. AC Milan were one of the seeded teams and could have potentially faced a number of challenging sides but have picked up a favourable opponent. Milan have drawn Serbian side Crvena Zvezda better known as Red Star Belgrade.
Milan have faced the Serbian champions 4 times before and have never lost with 2 wins and 2 draws. It is interesting to note that each time Milan have faced them in Europe, we have gone on to win the competition in 1989 and 2007. The current side is managed by former Inter Milan midfielder Dejan Stankovic and will have a familiar Serie A face in journeyman Diego Falcinelli who has played for Sassuolo, Fiorentina and Bologna in Italy over the years.
The first leg will be played on the 18th of February 2021 in Belgrade with the return in Milan on the 25th of February 2021. The next draw for the round of 16 will be on the 26th of February 2021.
