Calcio e Finanza are reporting that AC Milan have already picked up a handsome sum of money from just the group stages of the UEFA Europa League owing to the good performances of the side. Milan picked up close to €10 million euros after just 6 group stage games and will collect more as they are entitled to revenues from the Milan market pool. Milan's breakdown of earnings is as follows:
€2.92m for their participation in the group stage.
€3.07m for their historical ranking.
€2.47m for the results (4Ws, 1D, 1L).
€1m for finishing 1st in the group.
€500k for qualifying for the round of 32.
The total come up to €9.96 million euros for just the group stages. If Milan continue to progress the will be able to gain the following as per UEFA:
round of 16: €1.1m; quarter-finals: €1.5m; semi-finals: €2.4m; final: €4.5m; winners: €4m.
Milan have been doing well in the competition and could use the extr cash to boost their coffers for the summer and for FFP.
