AC Milan faced Parma at the San Siro tonight and were dealt a terrible hand to drop points with key players missing. Milan lost centre back Matteo Gabbia very early on to an injury which led to Pierre Kalulu getting his Serie A debut. Milan were burned by Hernani after Gervinho managed to square the ball back into the box. Milan's defence looked disorganised as they had not settled yet and the goal set the squad back. Milan went on to dominate the half but were incredibly unlucky as Diaz hit the crossbar, Calhanoglu hit the crossbar and sidebar and Samu Castillejo scored but the goal was disallowed for offside. In the second half, Milan continued to pile on the pressure but were beaten on the counter attack as Kurtic headed past Gigio for 2-0. Milan dug deep and fought back as Theo Hernandez headed in from a Calhanoglu corner soon after. The game was in a stalemate at 2-1 until the dying moments of the game when Calabria sent in a stinging low cross which Rebic hammered at the keeper. A save was made but the ball was defelcted back into the box for Theo to slam into the back of the net. Milan managed to rescue a point but their lead atop the league falls from 5 points to 3 above Inter Milan who won today.
