Calcio Mercato are reporting that AC Milan are focused in bringing in a new centre back in the January transfer window and are looking at a previous target as their top choice. The 20 year old defender Mohamed Simakan from Strasbourg is atop the list and the report notes that Milan have a four year contract agreed with the player but have not agreed on a fee with his club yet. His club are asking for 20 million euros whilst Milan offered a maximum of 13 million euros plus bonuses on deadline day in the summer. Strasbourg have not been performing well this season sitting in 18th place and this could motivate both the player and his club to accept the deal from the Rossoneri.
Tuttosport via MilanLive.it are reporting that the three names on Milan's wishlist are Matteo Lovato from Hellas Verona, Ozak Kabaka from Schalke 04 and Mohamed Simakan from Strasbourg.
Ricky Massara on a centre back has said via MilanNews.it:
“The search for an opportunity continues, we’ll see if there will be one.”
