MilanNews.it are reporting that the City Council of Milan have requested additional information from AC Milan and Inter Milan regarding the Nuovo Stadio Milano. The Council are asking for more transparency on the ownership of the the two clubs. There are also clarifications sought after on the facilities available for public use in the project. This includes green spaces, public squares, pedestrian areas amongst others.
This new call for additional information represents another stumbling block in the road to a new stadium and the redevelopment of the San Siro area. The project represents a huge investment into the city of Milan but seems to be held up by bureaucracy. Hopefully, a quick response from the clubs can get this moving along as there is the hope to break ground on the construction of the stadium in 2021.
