AC Milan faced Hellas Verona in the Serie A last evening on the back off a huge defeat to LOSC Lille in the Europa League in mid week. Milan conceded to cheap goals early on in the first half as Matteo Gabbia replaced Alessio Romagnoli in the starting line up. Milan struggled to deal with a corner again leading to Barak scoring the opener. About ten minutes later, Milan conceded again as Milan did not deal with the set piece allowing Zaccagni to take a volley which deflected off Calabria and went into the back of the net as an own goal. Franck Kessie forced a goal when he connected with a cross from Alexis Saelemaekers toe poking it at the centre back who deflected it into the back of the net. Milan dominated the second half, hitting the crossbar a couple of times. Franck Kessie won a penalty which Zlatan Ibrahimovic wasted as he blasted it over the bar. Late into the game, Ibrahimovic brought down the ball in the box for Calabria to volley into the back of the net but the goal was reversed due to a hand ball as ruled by VAR. In the additional time, Brahim Diaz managed to set off a silky cross which Ibrahimovic headed in to level the game. Milan will be stung by the point but at least the unbeaten run is intact in the league.
