Players to Watch

Brahim Diaz

Diaz has undoubtedly been AC Milan’s most important player in the Europa League group stages thus far. The attacker has been deployed as a trequartista where he has scored twice in two games. The youngster has been been instrumental to coordinating the attack and will need to unlock a resilient defence tonight. If he manages to break through again, Milan have a good chance to win.

Soumare-Andre vs Kessie-Tonali

The midfield battle will be a physical one and that seems to be why Stefano Pioli is going to start Tonali and Kessie to counter Soumare - who was a target for the Rossoneri last summer. Soumare will likely be partnered with Andre or possibly Xeka/Sanches but either way this game will be spent fighting in the centre of the park with counters down the wings. Milan will need to be careful to lock out Ikone at CAM at he is usually the spark in attack for his side.

Jonathan Bamba

Milan will need to be strong in defence to win tonight. Lille have scored 6 goals in 2 Europa League games and have drawn their past three games in the league showing resolve when conceding early on. Bamba has been a key attacker scoring a number of the crucial goals that have kept Lille without a loss this season. Bamba has 4 goals and 4 assists this season and will have to be kept quiet by Kjaer and Romagnoli.

Prediction

Milan 3 - 2 Lille
