MilanNews.it have been reporting that AC Milan could pounce for Marseille winger Florian Thauvin as the attacker has a contract expiring in the summer. The original report claimed that the agents of the player offered him to Milan's directors in the closing days of the summer transfer window but this was not a priority for Milan at the time.

Calcio Mercato are also reporting that contacts are present between the entourage of the player and Milan's management. The report states that there a working to find an agreement as Milan have offered a 4 year contract worth 3 million euros per year whilst Thauvin is asking for 5 million euros a year.

Milan Technical Director Paolo Maldini spoke to Telefoot and said,

“His contract is ending so from the economic point of view he’s very interesting. He’s not the type of player we bought in the recent years because he is a bit old but we think that the solution is mixing players with experience with younger players. For sure he’s a player we must follow.”
