AC Milan will enter the Coppa Italia in the round of 16 this season and were to expected to face one of Torino or Virtus Entella. The Turin based club won 2-0 in the round of 32 tie this evening setting up another fixture against a former Milan manager for Stefano Pioli's men. Marco Giampaolo heads up the bench at Torino and will be looking to get some revenge on the Rossoneri for his sacking after just seven games last season. Giampaolo has been struggling at the club as Torino have not been playing well nor have they picked up nearly enough points to ensure the manager any job security. Milan beat Torino 4-2 in the quarter finals of the Coppa Italia last season in extra time.
The fixture is expected to take place on the 13th or 20th of January 2021 and will be a knockout game. Milan will be looking to pick up some silverware this season and the Coppa Italia is a tournament that the Rossoneri should seriously consider as they have made the finals twice despite the poor displays elsewhere.
