Gianluca di Marzio via MilanNews.it is reporting that AC Milan and Barcelona are watching young Netherlands youth international Melayro Bogarde. The two clubs have also made initial inquiries for the 18 year old Hoffenheim defender. The contract of the defender expires in June 2021. Both clubs are looking to sign him on a free transfer in the summer window but could look to make a move in the winter by paying his club a compensation fee (similar to the deal for Pierre Kalulu from Lyon this summer).

The defender has broken into the first team this season with Hoffenheim this season making 2 appearances with the first team following 3 appearance with the second team. The defender is a huge prospect and he was developed in the Feyenoord academy. The defender is also the nephew of former Rossoneri defender Winston Bogarde. He is a versatile defender who has played interchangeably as a left and right sided centre back.
