AC Milan Striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic Picks Up Injury Against Napoli

Ibrahimovic is on fire and his absence could be costly given Leao is already out.

Peppe di Stefano of Sky Italia via MilanNews.it is reporting that AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has picked up a muscle injury in the 3-1 victory against Napoli away from home. The former Sweden international scored a stunning brace connecting with crosses from Theo Hernandez and Ante Rebic. The veteran pulled up with an issue at the 76th minute after putting in a cross with his left foot. He continued for about two minutes before collapsing on the ground and calling for medical attention. The striker was substituted off for 17 year old Lorenzo Colombo for the final fifteen or so minutes.

The report notes that the injury islikely to the left thigh muscle and that the striker will need to be further evaluated to understand the extent of the injury sustained. Ibrahimovic has been a key player for Milan scoring 11 goals in all competitions thus far and will be a major loss to the squad if absent.
