Sempre Milan are reporting that AC Milan have risen in the latest UEFA rankings based on their performances in the first three rounds of European competitions for the 2020/21 season. Milan have risen 21 places in the rankings to 60th place with a coefficient of just 23.00. This is a result of the long absence from the Champions League for about seven years and the inconsistent performances in the Europa League over the past four years, taking part thrice and missing out once as part of an FFP settlement. Milan has only gone as far as the round of 16 in the Europa League in 2017/18 and were knocked out in the group stages in 2018/19.
The Italian clubs in the rankings ahead of Milan are as follows: Juventus in fourth place (4th), AS Roma in nineteenth place (19th), Napoli in twentieth place (20th), Inter Milan in twenty fourth place (24th), Atalanta in thirty second place (32nd) and Lazio in thirty eighth place (38th).
