AC Milan Women faced AS Roma in Serie A Femminile today looking to continue their stellar run of form. Valentina Giacinti led her side as new signing Veronica Boquete made her debut and put in an impressive shift. Milan had a frustrating game coming very close to scoring on multiple occasios but lacking the final touch. Natasha Dowie had a few good chances but just could not hit the target. Milan overwhelmed Roma in the second half and forced a penalty after both Giacinti and Dowie wer fouled in the box blocking goal scoring opportunities. Giacinti stepped up and buried the ball into the back of the net. Milan Women currently sit in second place in the standings with 21 points.
