MilanNews.it are reporting that AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic's biopic ‘I Am Zlatan’ will be released in the autumn of 2021. The film will be distributed by Lucky Red and is based on the autobiography of the Sweden international.
The Swede's career spanned spells at major clubs across Europe including Malmo, Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, AC Milan, PSG and Manchester United as well as a short stint at Los Angeles Galaxy in the United States prior to his return to Milan. The movie is expected to cover his time in Sweden and the Netherlands in his early days.
Andrea Occhipinti of Lucky Red commented, “Ibrahimovic is much more than a footballer: he is a pure leader, a legendary icon, a way of being that belongs only to him and that cannot be replicated.
“The story of this myth contemporary that in Italy has found its highest consecration, could only become a great story for cinema.”
