AC Milan have announced via their website that youngster Alen Halilovic has terminated his contract with the club by mutual consent after a disappointing few years with the club where he featured only 3 times of which only 1 game was a start in the Europa League against Dudelange. The Croatia international was brought in as a promising youngster who needed a career reset but he struggled to make any impact at the San Siro. He never looked comfortable on the ball and did not convince the fans nor the management.

The attacker was loaned out twice to Standard Liege in Belgium in his first season and to Heerenveen in the Netherlands in his second season. He managed to rack up 34 appearances across the two loans, scoring 1 goal and providing 5 assists. The 24 year old has unfortunately not lived up to the hype and this is probably why Milan have chosen not to keep him in the squad any further.
