Vito Angele is reporting that AC Milan have moved swiftly to close a deal for Manchester United right back Diogo Dalot. Milan were reportedly looking for a loan with an option to buy but there is no confirmation of the structure of the deal for the moment. AS Roma were also negotiating for the player but seem to have missed out.
Fabrizio Romano reported that the deal is done but notes that it will be a dry loan as United asked for a 30 million euro buy option which Milan deemed excessive.
Antonio Vitiello is reporting that Dalot will be in Milan this afternoon to undertake his COVID tests ahead of his medicals. The signing should be completed imminently.
Dalot transferred to United after breaking out with FC Porto in the 2017/18 season. He has only managed 35 appearances for United in his two seasons at the club where he only received 13 starts in the league and only 5 in the UEL and UCL. Milan will get a versatile yet attack minded 21 year old right back who can inject pace, pinpoint crosses and piercing passes to Milan's attack.
