AC Milan faced AS Roma in the league last night and will have come away with a bitter taste in the mouth as the Rossoneri should've emerged with all three points but some horrific goalkeeping from new signing Ciprian Tatarusanu coupled with some egregious calls from the referee Piero Giacomelli left Milan with a draw. Milan opened the scoring within two minutes as Rafael Leao set up Zlatan Ibrahimovic with a beautiful curling cross for the Swede to tap in. Milan there after conceded from an Edin Dzeko header as Tatarusanu made a poor judgement on a corner allowing a cheap goal. Milan got back ahead after the break as Leao hugged the touchline and squared the ball back for Alexis Saelemaekers to score his first goal of the season. Roma seemed out but the referee gifted them a non-existent penalty when Tatarusanu spilled the ball and Ismael Bennacer rushed in to win it, the 50-50 ball went Roma's way and Jordan Veretout put away the penalty. Milan dug deep and Hakan Calhanoglu won a penalty when Gianluca Mancini pushed him in the box without getting a touch on the ball. Ibrahimovic stepped up and put Milan ahead for the third time in the game, it stood at 3-2. In the final minutes of the game, Milan gave away another corner and Ibrahimovic attempted to clear the ball but instead gifted it to Marash Kumbulla to tapped in to draw the game. Tatarusanu again nowhere to be seen. A tough result for a strong Milan side who showed resolve, but a lesson for the rest of the season.
