Corriere della Sera MilanLive.it are reporting that veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic would like to renew his contract for another year so as to play for AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League. The former Sweden international was handed a one year contract thi summer after his impressive display in the second half of the previous season where he managed to score in double figures as well as boost the confidence of the squad to go on an unbelievable unbeaten run.

The 39 year old is represented by Mino Raiola who also is the agent of start goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and captain Alessio Romagnoli who both have expiring contracts in the coming two summers. This renewal could help ease those two. The paper also adds that Milan could save 30% on the gross wage of Ibrahimovic due to a tax relief initiative from the Italian government known as the Growth decree which could further encourage the Rossoneri to renew the striker.
