Manuele Baiocchini is reporting that AC Milan are going all in for Bologna centre back Takehiro Tomiyasu after missing out on Wesley Fofana from St Etienne. The Japan international is now Milan's priority as the need for a top notch CB is becoming more apparent with each passing game. The 21 year old defender is versatile and can occupy both the CB and RB spots thus can offer cover or start in either of the positions.

Gianluca di Marzio via MilanLive.it is reporting that Milan have put in an initial bid worth 15 million euros on the table plus bonuses. Bologna are asking for 25 million euros for the defender but Milan are unlikely to go above 20 million for him.

Sky Italia via MilanNews.it are reporting that following Milan's qualification to the Europa League, the management will now look to close the deal for Tomiyasu ahead of deadline day. Milan need to improve their bid for defender to convince Bologna. Luca Marchetti in particular notes that surprises should not be excluded as other defenders could become late options in the next few days.
