AC Milan sent a number of players on international duty. Here is a short summary of how they performed:
Gianluigi Donnarumma - Italy
Donnarumma started both games against Poland and the Netherlands. He played well in both games managing to keep one clean sheet and made a number of spectacular saves in the tight game against the Dutch.

Hakan Calhanoglu - Turkey
Calhanoglu and his side drew in both their games against Russia and Serbia in the Nations League. The trequartista scored as stunner in the second game as well as provided an assist whilst he racked up his 50th appearance for his national team.

Simon Kjaer - Denmark
Kjaer featured in three games for his national team. Once off the bench and twice in the starting line up against Faroe Islands, Iceland and England respectively. Kjaer and Denmark kept a clean sheet in each of the games. Kjaer hit a milestone with his 100th national appearance at Wembley against England.
Rade Krunic - Bosnia and Herzegovina
Krunic featured three times against Northern Ireland in the Euro qualifiers, Poland and the Netherlands in Nations League. Krunic was deployed as a winger and managed to score a goal in the qualifiers.

Ismael Bennacer - Algeria
Bennacer was available for two fixtures but was unused against Nigeria whilst playing the full 90 minutes against Mexico. The midfielder scored a rocket in the 2-2 draw.

Franck Kessie - Ivory Coast
Kessie featured in both games against Belgium and Japan. His side drew in the former and lost in the latter. Kessie scored a penalty against Belgium.

Brahim Diaz - Spain U21
Diaz featured in both games against Faroe Islands and Kazaskhstan. The attacker scored an impressive brace in his first game as his side won 2-0 and 3-0 respectively.

Alexis Saelemaekers - Belgium
Saelemaekers got the opportunity to make his national team debut and registered a fantastic assist setting up Michy Batshuayi for the opening goal of the game against Ivory Coast in a friendly encounter.
Sandro Tonali - Italy U21
Tonali featured in the 2-0 win over Northern Ireland as a holding midfielder. He put on his usual solid display as he played with much younger players around him.
Jens Petter Hauge - Norway
Hauge also managed to make his debut for his national side coming off the bench against Romania in a 4-0 win. He was unused in the following two games.
Ciprian Tatarusanu - Romania
The keeper had an international break to forget as his side got battered 4-0 by Norway and then lsot 1-0 to Austria hence conceding 5 goals in 2 games.
Matteo Gabbia - Italy U21
Gabbia had an international break to forget as he contracted the coronavirus whilst on international duty ruling him out of the derby. This also gives Alessio Romagnoli the space to take over without any disruption or having Gabbia fight for his place.
