Calcio Mercato are reporting that AC Milan received 12 offers for youngster Daniel Maldini over the summer and rejected every single offer. The former Primavera player dominated the youth side as a trequartista scoring 9 goals and providing 4 assists across the league and cup. The youngster turned 19 this week and despite remaining at the club has not been entirely convincing to watch (but this may just be the weight of expectation and his lack of experience).

The report notes that there were two Serie A teams interested in the player as well as ten Serie B teams. Milan chose to turn down all offers but this raises the question on whether or not Maldini influenced this decision process. the youngster looks promising but will need to leave a mark this season to demonstrate to the fans why he was kept at the San Siro.

The youngster made his first team debut toward the end of last season and was given a five year contract until 2024. He has since made 5 first team appearances.
