AC Milan veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has tested negative for the coronavirus and will likely return to the squad after being absent for about two weeks. The striker arrival coincides with the crunch tie against Inter Milan in the derby della Madonnina next week. The striker has been keeping fit throughout his period in quarantine and will be a welcome addition taking over from youngster Lorenzo Colombo. The new was reported by Milan's official website.

At the same time, Milan have lost centre back Matteo Gabbia to the coronavirus for the Inter game as the centre back tested positive whilst on international duty with the Italy U21 side where there has reportedly been an outbreak. The defender will not likely have a negative test in time throwing Milan into a defensive crisis as Leo Duarte is also out. Alessio Romagnoli has just returned to training but it may be too soon for him to start in such a big game. The new was also released by Milan's official website.
